Because the people of Brazil support LULA, a leader who comes from the quarries of the LEFT ?. The answer is concrete, it is that the Brazilian leftists not only put themselves at the head of the popular struggles, but also went from protesters to proponents.
The collapse of the Soviet Union was the first fall of a state socialist model, due among others to the bureaucracy into which its leaders fell. This fact meant the consolidation of international capitalism, which gave rise to traditional Creole politicians representing the interests of large corporations, taking advantage to demonize the political and ideological options and the rights of the majority people.
It reached such a point, in 1990, when the WASHINGTON CONSENSUS was signed, which ratified that the free market was the policy to be applied worldwide, in which our rulers accepted such a consensus: liberalism, as the only political option to get out of underdevelopment.
As we know, in politics there is a great truth, things are measured by results, unfortunately, this neoliberal economic and political model with all its globalization, failed to solve the basic problems of the people, on the contrary it has been reproducing more poverty, corruption, environmental pollution, the irrational and inequitable use of natural resources, the increasingly abysmal social gaps between rich and poor, foreign debt, privatizations; to quote.
This same situation has been occurring in Brazil, which is why consciously its people, in these last elections, chose to give their vote to the Center Left movement, led by LULA, a worker representing the Brazilian Workers Party. Undoubtedly, this fact will have repercussions on world politics, particularly it will constitute an ally for political organizations, in the case of the New Left Movement. In the same way, it must mean the revision of neoliberalism, of relations with the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, the FTAA treaty; because it is a country that represents the eighth world economic power and the greatest ally of international neoliberalism, until then.
It is known that 63% of the 175 million Brazilian voters are rejecting neoliberalism, they are asking for change.
But the underlying question is, why do the people of Brazil support LULA, a leader who comes from the quarries of the LEFT? The answer is concrete, it is that the leftists of Brazil, not only put themselves at the head of the popular struggles, but they went from protesters to proposers, from speech to facts for the benefit of the popular majorities, they demonstrated government capacity from The foundations in favor of sustainable development and the environment have been demonstrated in the Regional Government of the ACRE of this country. Undoubtedly, this region will also serve as a benchmark for THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE TROPICS, for other continents and countries.
However, as we know, the matter does not stop there, the first thing that this new Government of Brazil will have to face is or continue with the imposition of the International Monetary Fund, the foreign debt, the FTAA treaty or first the interests of the people. of Brazil that is to say of those who elected him.
In any case, it remains for the people of Brazil to continue in the search for a new course for history, which is an alternative to social injustice and neoliberalism.
